“宠物识别”小程序于2016年12月正式上线，覆盖AKC标准的全部256种纯种狗和CFA标准的全部42种纯种猫的识别，是当时也是到目前为止全球唯一覆盖全部纯种猫狗的识别平台。

据悉，“宠物识别”小程序的识别内核基于智媒云图自主研发的“全球物种分类识别库”，并且针对所有猫狗种类建立了知识图谱。基于深度学习算法的图像识别技术，智媒云图搭建的“欲知智能图像识别平台”目前已可在56毫秒完成单图物件数量统计，0.46秒内实现超过2万余个物种的识别，准确度超过95%。2017年3月智媒云图的AI团队在Kaggle国际猫狗识别比赛中获得第七名，是唯一一支进入前十的国内参赛团队。

“宠物识别”小程序还提供宠物照片直接制作表情包功能
据介绍，从2016年12月上线至今已有数十万用户通过“宠物识别”进行了百万次识别，更有众多吸猫撸狗的市民通过它制作宠物表情包，微信官方、知晓程序等平台纷纷推荐。据智媒云图AI研究员介绍，“宠物识别”是目前全球唯一覆盖全部纯种猫狗的识别应用，Google于2017年底在Google photos升级中识别猫和狗，仅限于识别照片中“这是只猫（或者狗）”，在今年4月Googel Lens宣布“已能成功识别出猫或者狗的品种，如果不能确定品种，则会向用户显示一系列可能的建议”。百度今年4月1日上线SAFI（犬类面部识别），主要实现扫描狗脸喂食、自由进出门禁等狗脸识别功能。
